Taste Demerara Sugar Fudge at Natural Goods Market

Today looks like a brilliant sunny day here in Cape Town. Its ideal weather to visit the Natural Goods Market at Canal Walk today. The market is open from 9.00 and there is always a selection of stalls to get something for breakfast and later on for lunch. Browse around and you will of course find our Glorious Fudge stand.

We have another great selection of fudges including our new Demerara Sugar Fudge. This less refined brown sugar adds a certain earthiness to the fudge flavour. Demerara Sugar is named after a previous name of Guyana in South America from where this sugar was grown. Fortunately, we did not have to go that far to get the sugar and you wan't have to go any further than the Natural Goods Market to get a piece or a packet of out Demerara Fudge creation.

So before you leave the market, come along, taste from our range and stock up with some sweet delights from our stand. Please note that we do not supply the cheese and grapes at the market, but usually there are stallholders supplying these items.

To get the special sugar you could of course you could go all the way to Guyana, but then you will only get the sugar and miss out on our delicious Demerara Fudge!

Coconut Fudge at Waldorf Night Market

We invite you to come to our stall this evening and taste our Coconut Fudge, a fairly new addition to our range. All it takes to make is some of the best fudge around, to which we add coconut milk and some  desiccated coconut plus a whole heap of magic and hey-presto there's Coconut Fudge!

Apart from Coconut Fudge, we also have many other flavours on offer including Traditional Butter Fudge, Demerara Sugar Fudge, Wellington Squares [a bit like Millionaire's Shortbread, but with fudge inside], cranberry fudge and ginger fudge. Oh yes we also have two brand new flavours on offer. So come along to stall number 42 in the hall at Waldorf Constantia tonight and we can show you our range. For your convenience, the fudge is available in pieces or packets. The only problem is which flavour to choose. One great solution is to select your flavours and we can bag the pieces for you.

Valentine's Day Fudge - better Late than Never

Is your valentine a fudge fanatic? Did you remember to get some flavoursome fudge? If not, it may not be too late to save the day ... and your valentine. Contact us. After all, we are known in some circles as the fudge fundis. Yes and maybe also known for cobbling together alternate alliterations.

Unfortunately, unseasonal summer rain put a damper on the Porter Estate Market, so our regular customers and new visitors alike, were unable to get access to our Valentine's Day delectables at a wet outdoor market. So this is your final chance to get some for you and your valentine. Tomorrow is Valentine's and we still have a handful of specially presented fudge packets and tins in stock.

On the other hand things were really humming and indeed thumping at The Market at the Palms as they celebrated their 1st Birthday last Saturday. Mr Cat & the Jackal were there loud and clear and visually the Cape Town Rollergirls were very much in evidence as well. The market was extremely busy and the fudge found many happy purchasers. It was a great day and a memorable 1st year celebration.

This coming Saturday the weather promises to be kind to us. So we look forward to seeing you at one of our two regular markets. Indoors at The Palms or making the most of mid-February sunshine at The Porter Estate Produce Market. It may also not be too late to get that a belated packet of Valentine's Day fudge!

We Have Remembered Valentine's Day... Have You?

Thursday 14 February is Valentine's Day and we have remembered to bring some Valentine's Day packets to our markets at Porter Estate Market and at The Palms Market tomorrow [Saturday 9 February]. So why not pay a visit to stalls at Porter Estate in Tokai or at The Palms Lifestyle Centre in Woodstock and get a packet or tin of fudge for someone special in your life and hey, while you are about it, why not indulge yourself a bit too?
