First the Marula Tree, then Amarula Liqueur and now Marula Fudge

Amarula Liqueur is a product infused with the juice from the marula tree. We have taken this liqueur one step further and blended some into our traditional butter fudge. The resulting Amarula flavoured fudge has already found support amongst our fudge aficionados.

The female Marula Tree (Sclerocarya birrea) is a prolific bearer of the marula fruit. Depending upon the size of the tree, up to 500kg of fruit can be borne by a tree in any one year. The Marula Tree grows mainly in the more northern and eastern areas of South Africa and further into Southern Africa. A number of products are created from the fruit, with the best known undoubtedly being Amarala Cream Liqueur.

Marula fruit and cream are magically transformed into Amarula Liqueur. We then take that bit of magic and with a few tricks of our own, blend it with our traditional butter fudge to create our new Amarula Fudge.

Of course there is no real wizardry. Rather just some careful blending and mixing and stirring together of fine ingredients for your enjoyment

So if you are fond of Amarula and really enjoy some of the best fudge around, now is your chance to taste the best of both worlds.

A good place to try our marula is at The Palms Market in Woodstock on a Saturday morning between 9.00am and 2.00pm. So if you are heading for the market on Saturday, we would be delighted to meet you and give you a taste of our new marula fudge.
